SSC CGL 2025  Exam Postponed

Here the Main Update SSC has postponed the CGL 2025 Examination which had to be conducted in August due to Technical and other issues Staff Selection Commission  has decided to conduct this exam in Month of September here is detailed context on it :

Reason for Postpone: Technical Failures

The key reason for this postponement is the considerable technical and operational failures that occurred during the Selection Post Phase XIII exam. These resulted in data inconsistencies and log-in issues for around 55,000 candidates, eroding the test's fairness. The SSC has delayed  the CGL to mitigate the risk of similar ramifications from these specific back-end issues.

Re Examination  for Affected Candidates

In order to remedy the concerns of those affected by the technical errors, the SSC has set a retest on August 29, 2025, for the 55,000 impacted candidates of the Selection Post exam. It is necessary to build back the trust in the commission's examination process.

Revised CGL Exam Dates

The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam had initially  from August 13 to August 30 in 2025  but It may be from the first week of September 2025 and Candidates must visit regularly on official website of SSC for updated Exam dates of CGL 2025 examinations

Application Correction Window has Open

The SSC has granted a vital chance for all CGL applicants to see and even edit their application forms. The One-Time Registration (OTR) edit period opens from August 14 to August 31, 2025 and gives candidates the opportunity to rectify any mistakes in personal information or any other aspect of their applications before the admit cards come out.

Measures Taken by SSC

The SSC is revising its examination process after recent scandals to make the process more secure and enhance its transparency. Important reforms will be the development of test infrastructure, addition of more security measures like Aadhaar authentication, and the introduction of a more equitable normalization method that is based on percentiles.
