Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organisation under the Government of India that recruits staff for various posts in various ministries and departments and subordinate offices of the Government of India

This Commission is an part of  the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) . It consist  of a Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations generally SSC Officers. Whose  rank is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
