How to Apply for CGL Exam

One Time Registration

It is a very crucial process before You appear any exam conducted bv Staff Selection Commission  

Visit the Official Website of SSC 

Fill out Registration Form for OTR , In which fill your required details such as follow 

  1. Personal information

  2. Contact details such as phone number and email id 

  3. Education qualifications (10th roll number (board name, roll number, passing year, etc. ).

  4. Photo ID   Such as : Aadhaar card ,voter ID ,PAN card or any other ID that is valid.

  5. After submitting, you will get  a Registration ID as well as a password on your registered email address and mobile number.

CGL Online Form Filling

  1. Go to the official website and sign into the website using your Registration ID and Password. If you're already registered, login with your credentials 

  2. Once you have done that, click "Apply" for  the CGL Exam, 2025.

  3. A new page will appear on the screen. Candidates need to sign into the system using their Registration ID, birth date and password in order to complete their registration in the CGL 2025.

  4. Click the submit button to complete your online application form

  5. All Candidates will receive a Registration ID for CGL Exam

In This Step You need to upload relevant Documents as per guidelines of Staff Selection Commission and Government of India 

  • Photograph - The image of the candidate needs to be taken in front of a white or a light colored background. The dimensions of the photo must not exceed 4 kb but not more than 12kb. Its resolution must be at least 100x120 pixels in width and height.

  • Signatures - A signature submitted by the candidate should be written in blue or black ink on a white sheet. The scan of the signature to be submitted should be in the format jpg, and it must be larger than 1 kb, but not more than twelve kb. Its resolution must be at least 40x60 pixels in the width and height.

  • Other documents /If applicable- Photo ID document (Aadhaar or voter ID etc. ) or a Caste/Community Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC applicants) Certificate of medical necessity (for applicants with PwBD) discharge document (for ex-servicemen)

 Fee Submission 

  1. After completing the form to apply, applicants must check  the entire application for SSC CGL once to look for any flaws on the application form, since the form, once completed, cannot be changed.

  2. Make payment of the application fee via online mode. 

  3. Click"Final Submit" after having a look at the entire application online CGL-2025 form. Fill out the and pay the fee for application.
